Developed by Kabam Games, the new Fast & Furious 6 is basically a mixture of car racing and hustling up to earn loads of digital cash in the game. The game brings several modes, different challenges and full-throttle racing experience for those who seek some adrenaline stimulation.

Fast & Furious 6 game arrives with great looking graphics and easy to adapt game play. Set in the city of London, the game is about joining the Fast & Furious 6 crew to take up series of jobs. The game offers Tournament Mode and Story Mode for the user to choose either.

SEGA Europe Ltd. and SEGA of America, Inc. announced yesterday that the original Sonic the Hedgehog game is now available on Android. The game can be downloaded through the Google Play store for $2.99.

The game has a lot of new enhancements sure to tempt any hardcore Sonic fan. First of all, it has been re-optimized with widescreen support at a speedy 60 frames per second. The game also has several new features exclusive for mobile phones including a remastered original soundtrack, new leaderboards and achievements, a new Time Attack mode, and the ability to unlock Tails and Knuckles as playable characters.

SEGA also made another announcement yesterday, a surprising partnership with an old rival - Nintendo. SEGA said they will be releasing the next three Sonic titles exclusively for Nintendo platforms. The first game, Sonic Lost World, is scheduled to be released on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS later this year. The second title is the upcoming fourth entry to the Mario & Sonic at the Olympics Games series which has not yet been dated. The third game has yet to be revealed.

"With 'Sonic Lost World,' we're going to introduce new gameplay and enemies, which is always fun," said John Cheng, president and chief operating officer of Sega of America Inc., in an article appearing on Yahoo. "In terms of Sonic and his friends, he'll have his same friends there, and I think there'll be some new ones as well. It's not a reiteration. It's going to be all new."

Legendary racing game Carmageddon has made its debut on the Google Play Store and is available for free for the first 24 hours. The developers have finally managed to port the carnage racing game to Android after it debuted on iOS last year. A paid-for version will appear on the Play Store after the first day.

Carmageddon made its debut on Windows and Macintosh PCs in 1997 and has since earned something of a cult following. The game was ported to the original Playstation, the Nintendo 64, and the Game Boy Color before the iOS launch last October. Fans have been calling for an Android port ever since and their clamour has finally paid off.  The Android port features 11 racing environments, 36 levels and 30 cars.

While the arrival of the game is certainly great news, there is a bit of confusion about how the game will turn into a paid version after the launch day. As things stand, free apps on the Play Store can't turn paid after launch. So unless the policy changes in the next week, the free app will be unpublished from the Play Store and will be replaced by a paid version. Carmageddon’s developers told Android Police that the launch offer stems from the team’s determination to get a free version of the game out on the store. That’s something that was part of a Kickstarter commitment. “The free version will be removed after 24 hours and the Paid for version will be released. The same game but different apps,” Carmageddon’s developers added.

Of course, this still does not guarantee those who pick up the free version of the game the same updates as the later paid version. Apps that have been unpublished from the Play Store still can be used if not uninstalled on the device, so Carmageddon might not run foul of fans just yet.

Wizard Ops Tactics for Android

Amazingly, the turn-based strategy game has seen a resurgence thanks to mobile platforms. Thanks to the rise of asynchronous multiplayer and to developers that try to shrink the concepts down to be friendly for even those who are diving in to the genre for the first time. Wizard Ops Tactics tries to be that kind of simple turn-based strategy title, but it winds up just lacking.

After the tutorial, players jump in to games with other players, building up an army of wizards to take on other players. The goal is to either defeat everyone on the opponent’s team, or to complete the objective in play, either to control a certain spot or to capture the enemy’s flag. Players start off with small teams of just 4 each, with limited action points that need to be used for different attacks. The game’s smaller teams and small maps mean that players don’t have to wait for a long while before reaching their opponent and getting into the action, thankfully. The Facebook login works for logging in quickly and across multiple devices, and there’s cross-platform play with the Android version.

However, this game can just be aggravating at times. The way that movement and attacking is planned, by queuing up actions, just seems unnecessarily convoluted for the sake of a nebulous multiplier whose effect is never really explained. It feels satisfying to chain up all the moves, but trying to do so while essentially blind, working from theoretical unit positions, just adds a challenge to the game without much in the way of tangible benefit. The game is also exceedingly tedious, with slow animations when moves are queued up. The queuing up works in a sense because the game is built around fog of war, but it’s all just handled in such an annoying way that just doesn’t feel fun to play.

The tutorial is too long and confusing to be of much help either. Spending money on gold, while not a huge part of the game, feels like it could make it too easy to spend money to build out a more powerful army. Of course, the tedious pace of the game may make it difficult to want to get to that point, either. It also loads extremely slowly on older devices, and push notifications don’t work, only email ones do.

While there’s interesting conceptual elements to Wizard Ops Tactics, it’s otherwise just a more frustrating title than it has to be. If Hero Academy and Outwitters have gotten old, then this free download may be worth it, but it doesn’t live up to the genre’s best.
